Disgusting. . . or Dedication?

WOW!  It's been forever!  But, I won't focus on that . . . just blog when I can!  :)

I wanted to blog about this before I forget about it because it will be a great story to tell someday.

Payton and Evan are both playing for travel teams at Abilene Baseball Academy.  The other night at practice, I walked over to watch Evan's team.  Evan was batting and had some awesome hits!  Then, they moved him to short stop.  After a few batters, I noticed that Evan's pants were dirty . . . no big deal, right?  He's playing baseball.  But, his crotch was really dirty . . . looked like muddy.  What the heck happened?

Practice went on and by the time we got home, I had forgotten about it.  The boys were all in the kitchen and Aaron noticed Evan's crotch.  Aaron said, "Evan!  What the heck happened to your pants? Did you pee in your pants?"  A huge smile flashed across Evan's face and he said, "Yes."  WHAT?!?!

Evan's story was that they were playing and there were just enough people for the field and they had 3 batters.  He was at short stop and had to pee, but he didn't think he could say anything.  He felt like he just had to keep playing.  So, he peed in his pants and just kept playing!

Payton was disgusted and quickly explained that all he had to do was say that he had to go pee and go to the fence and pee.  Evan said, "Well, I didn't know."  Payton said, "That's what I call disgusting!"  I laughed and said, "That's what I call dedication!"  :)
